Walked out of work last evening and saw my car had made a friend!
(Black is mine...no idea whose the white one is, it's not a GT though).

Needs more blue and gold. Those the jdm rain guards on the black wagon?

My favorite body style of them. There is an XT with a 5 speed on Car Max right now calling my name.

Be careful about starting a trend. When dropping off the boys this weekend after Boy Scout camp, someone commented that it looked like a Toyota Sienna dealership. There were 4 parked on the same side of the lot, 3 of which were barely indistinguishable from each other (that light bluish silver). The owners all chuckled when the discussion turned to trying to open the wrong car...they had all done it.
I have to wonder if the other owner parked there on purpose (which would be cool). Chances are it was completely random since the overwhelming majority of the motoring population doesn't see other cars as anything other than an obstacle.

I've been toying with the idea of getting an OBXT (because insurance and they cost way less up front than a GT wagon). I miss my LGT way too much.
Let's see some more pics of your wagon!

I love how the z4 evolved from a butt-ugly vehicle to this thing which is actually quite handsome, i think.

I've actually seen the white car a few times before, it's usually parked in a parking lot on the other side of the building. Can't tell from the picture but I'm parked in a corner spot...so maybe it was more visible and the person thought it'd be cool to park next to?
Speaking of which, also from the same spot in the lot a few months ago...the E30 in the middle is mine.

You're right, I've noticed the OBXT goes for quite a bit less...and there are more of them with the 5sp out there it seems like. I love this generation...the interior is really nice, and a great size and feel before the later generations that got over-sized and boring. I say get one and keep it forever.
Here's my girl (pics from ad from when I bought it...only difference is that now it has the standard amber turn signals up front)-

Good eye on the rain guards - yes those are (at least so I've been told). Previous owner's work....missing on the other side though, so go figure.

The wife and I are talking about having kids and selling the FXT for something equally reliable, but less expensive to free up a little cash every month. Some OBXTs are cheap enough to buy outright instead of having to take a loan. That would be the easiest path to getting back into a 4th gen LGT/OBXT. The other option is waiting 3 years until the FXT is paid off and then picking one of these up to replace my 03 Impreza Outback Sport... which is thankfully/unfortunately a tank

But that's 3 more years without a Legacy/someone else beating on it for 3 more years!
Life can definitely be tricky trying to juggle sane decisions and cars.

Being a car guy can suck sometimes. Trying to be pragmatic but also fulfill your car desires while also having a life at the same time
